ABSTRACT:
This paper reviews the state of the art of liquid lubrication for space applications. The areas discussed are: types of liquid lubrication mechanisms, space environmental effects on lubrication, classification of lubricants, liquid lubricant additives, grease lubrication, mechanism materials, bearing anomalies and failures, lubricant supply techniques, and some applications and lubricant needs for those applications.
